Ian Krempl representing in the Youth Olympic Games in Singapore
Ian Krempl was one of the honoured few who was part of the ceremonial Youth Olympic Games torch relay.
What was interesting about Ian's relay was that a special mounting bracket for the Olympic torch was specially fabricated onto his BlkMkrt Killswitch competition bike. While Ian is indeed one of the best street and downhill riders in Singapore, safety was paramount and safe riding is all about both hands on the bar.
During the relay itself, eveything was smooth sailing and in my heart, I had wished that he could've pulled of some wheelies or manuals to shake things up abit :)
“I could feel the heat on my back. It was scary!” - Ian
In short, it was definitely a major deal for street riders all over Singapore (and the rest of the world) to have a real rider representing us in the Olympic arena.
